Islamabad: Government has decided to appoint Doctor Maliha Lodhi as the permanent Pakistani Ambassador to United Nations, Saach.Tv reports.
According to Saach.Tv diplomatic sources after the issuance of notification at the government level Maliha Lodhi will take over her responsibilities as an Ambassador.
There was news circulating in social media about the appointment of Najam Sethi as Pakistani Ambassador but when Saach.Tv contacted its diplomatic sources who denied this news.
The sources further verified the news about the appointment of Maliha Lodhi as Pakistani Ambassador.
Doctor Maliha Lodhi, who started her career from journalism, has full command over diplomatic matters. In past, she had served as the Pakistani High Commissioner to United Kingdom and twice as the Pakistani Ambassador to US.
