Miranshah: Khalid Syed Sajna has been appointed as the new Chief of the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), say media reports.
The decision was taken during the meeting of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Majlis-e-Shura (Central Advisor Committee) which is being to appoint a new chief after Hakimullah Mehsud was killed in a US drone strike.
Khalid Syed received 43 out of 60 votes of the elite forum of TTP.
He is the Taliban Commander in South Waziristan and now he will also carry out the responsibilities as Taliban Chief in North Waziristan. TTP also announced the appointment of its new Chief on Face Book.
